The Town of Dedham is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Fire Chief to manage our growing Dedham/Lucerne Fire Department.

Current staffing includes a part-time Fire Chief, full-time Assistant Chief, two full-time firefighters/EMTs, and a paid volunteer force of five+/-.

Preferred Experience and Training

(Preference will be given to applicants who closely meet the following)

Minimum of five years officer experience in the fire service
EMT license required, AEMT preferred
Firefighter I & II, Instructor I & II, and Fire Officer I & II
Advanced knowledge of fire and EMS techniques
Strong leadership and cooperative management style
Ability to work cooperatively with mutual aid partners, contractors, and suppliers
Ability to work with the public with care, consideration, and knowledge
Computer Skills

Benefits

Starting Salary Range: $67,900-83,400
Maine State Retirement Plan 3C or ICMA
